Hippie Nonsense for the New Year

Firstly it must be said, I haven’t always supported New Years Resolutions.  I have always believed in Leveling Up and striving to be the healthiest, happiest person you can be.  The thing about New Years Resolutins is…why wait until the damn New Year?! EVERY day is the right day to start being the version of yourself you want to be!  That being said, if the new year helps to jump start your ambition and make that resolution, so be it.

I also believe if it serves you, use it!  And that’s where my love of hippie non-sense comes in to play.  I own 7  chakra body sprays, a handful of totems in my yoga bag, tarot cards, and a small collection of symbolic malas.

I’m combining my New Year’s Resolution with my love of Hippie Nonsense in to

MY GREATEST LEVEL UP CHALLENGE YET!

This year, I plan to learn to love myself.  I know, original right?  It’s not a unique idea or struggle but I’m finally choosing to face this challenge.  For at least 12 years I have known that I don’t particularly care for myself and I have chosen to ignore the issue.  I mean I’m okay with myself, I’m functioning in society.  Isn’t that enough?!  It used to be enough, but not anymore.  Not if I am to be a yoga teacher and my deepest desire as a teacher is to help guide others to self-acceptance and joy.  Nope, not working anymore.  It’s time to Level Up.

I’ve gathered the Hippie Nonsense supplies for my quest:

Rose Quartz Mala with Ganesha pendent.

unnamed

Now all I need is the practical supplies…  Wish me luck friends!  If I have any other supplies or [XP] worth sharing as my challenge progresses, I will give you an update!

Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is often called the “Love Stone.” It’s energetic hallmark is that of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra….  As a variety of quartz, rose quartz has high energy, and this strong energy can enhance love in  virtually any situation….This stone of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra to all forms of love: self-love, family love, platonic love, and romantic love.

Ganesha:

Although he is known by many attributes, Ganesha’s elephant head makes him easy to identify. Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom.
